Volunteer Phyllis Negomir was at New Smyrna Beach High School to receive an extended truck load of food and supplies and a check from some very caring students and their sponsor Cara on Saturday, January 19th. This was a project for the NSB Honor Society. Phyllis took our Shelter dog Trey with her. Trey received a big round of applause when he was introduced.

Our sometimes a little shy walker hound accepted the applause with a happy wag of his tail. Many of the students petted him which he lovely accepted. He seemed to enjoy meeting all of them. Trey and Phyllis thanked the group for all their hard work in gathering donations of supplies, food, and money.

After the meeting, several of the students and their sponsor Cara brought the truck load out to the Shelter where they helped volunteers and staff unload all the supplies. We are proud to live in a community where our young people open their hearts to help our furry friends.

Thank you NSB Honor Society!
